Founded in 1902 by Charles T. Ozmun in Chicago, IL, Crescent Brands has stood the test of time. What began as the Chicago Cardboard Company in 1902 has evolved into a stalwart of industry and innovation, now celebrating 120 years of success, and still run by the Ozmun family. Throughout its journey, Crescent Brands has remained a family affair. Now in its 5th generation of leadership, the Ozmun family continues to steer the company toward new horizons. Their commitment to tradition and innovation has been the driving force behind Crescent Brands' enduring success.

After changing its name to Crescent Cardboard in 1940, it remained an industry leader for the next 80 years until, in 2021, Crescent Brands made headlines once again with the acquisition of the US operations of Nielsen Bainbridge. This strategic move led to the formation of Crescent Brands as the flagship portfolio company. Today, Crescent Brands proudly oversees a range of renowned brands including Crescent, Bainbridge, Nielsen, Nurre Caxton, and more.

 

Despite the changes and challenges of the past century, Crescent Brands has remained true to its roots. It's a company built on family values, integrity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. As we celebrate 120 years of Crescent Brands, we honor not just a company, but a legacy of determination and vision that continues to inspire us all.
